BatchMaster Manufacturing is helping Fortune Avenue Foods introduce its expanding Asian specialty items to a growing domestic and international consumer base
Fortune Avenue Foods, Inc. selected the BatchMaster Software’s Food Manufacturing Application for QuickBooks to meet the demand of its growing number of retailer partners and consumers, while ensuring quality and meeting stricter regulatory mandates. With its seamless integration to QuickBooks Online and Enterprise editions, BatchMaster Manufacturing for Food supports recipe management, production, inventory, quality, compliance, lot traceability and recall, planning, and scheduling, in addition to enhanced purchasing and sales order management.
Fortune Avenue Foods produces a variety of Potstickers (American style), Dumplings (Chinese style) and Gyoza (Japan style), in addition to traditional beef, pork and shrimp noodle entrées. These frozen food products are sold on Amazon and shipped to marketplaces, restaurants and food service companies across Canada, Mexico and Europe.
Rapid growth put a strain on Fortune’s ability to accurately manage inventory, in terms of expiration dates, lot numbers and on hand availability. In addition, the amount of time and manpower required to meet the demands of 3rd party auditors began to negatively impact the business. Rather than replacing QuickBooks with a new end to end ERP system as was being recommended by other software vendors, Fortune felt that BatchMaster Software offered the best solution to manage their prepared food operations, an add-on food manufacturing application for its existing QuickBooks application.
Fortune Avenue Foods runs an USDA-regulated facility with an on-site inspector. BatchMaster Manufacturing’s comprehensive lot management capabilities with its graphical bidirectional lot traceability and recall tool will allow Fortune to exceed the product traceability and recall codes defined in their SQF Advanced Food Safety Level 2 certification.
